Hold on, I thought, you thought you were getting Drapers cloth, not Carlo Barbera cloth?

Carlo Barbera is rumored to the maker of some of Drapers' cloths. I was hoping that the one I chose would be the one that was made by CB rather than VBC.

No offence but it seems like you have noone to blame but yourself.

You took a chance and lost.

They probably do, for the reasons I stated above. I remember Carlo Barbara making jacketing for Lessers, but. I think this was said on the book. Something along the lines of "Carlo Barbera for Lessers" or some such. I just think you need to chalk this one to experience, ith all this fussing you're potentially infecting this suit with bad karma, you need to chill, and I mean Yogi levels of chill.

I would agree with you if it was a Drapers branded cloth and I learnt here that it was a VBC cloth. I was not expecting a Carlo Barbera cloth, I was expecting a Drapers cloth which might have been made by CB.

Either way, it seems like you didn't know what you were getting when you made the purchase....

The only way for you to be happy again seems to be selling the cloth on to somebody who can appreciate the it for its properties and not for its label and get the VBC one. The price difference will be lost in the resale, but who cares as long as you have your VBC-VBC, instead of the meant-to-be-by-Barbera-but-turned-out-to-be-by-VBC-Drapers.

It arrived today and it is a VBC Supers 120s flannel cloth with the same selvedge as regular VBC cloth. The only difference is the Drapers tag instead of VBC tag. VBC flannel is 110 USD a meter in India.

So basically paid 67 USD x 3.5 meters extra for the privilege of getting a Drapers tag.

I saw a piece of fabric at Tip Top the other day which said VBC for Drapers on the selvedge. I don't know if all VBC for drapers have that marking on the selvedge but are you sure you were delivered the real thing?

For middle weight flannels (500-520grams/17oz), I have liked the woollen flannels from:
www.gorina.es contact person is Anna: e-mail duran @ gorina.es (Barcelona, Spain)
On the home page, to the right, click on Nuerstras Sedes to get the phone number & e-mail contact

They also have lighter weight flannels in solid colors & chalkstripes in the 450gram/15oz range

Is Gorina still around? Anyone know of contacts for them?
