if you have gold watch (yellow gold) you have to match it with gold jewelry and gold colored belt buckles right?

isnt it considered unstylish to wear yellow gold watch and have say regular colored ring, necklace, belt buckle etc?

No.

I would actually say that matching everything exactly is unstylish.

i always thought the following
belt color should match shoes color should also match watch leather band color if its leather band.
watch metal color should match jewelry colored should also match belt buckle color...
maybe thats trying too hard, but imo most movies characters are wardrobed that way

I prefer consistency but I don't fuss over it.

My newest watch is a Seiko Alpinist.

My first non-Swiss mechanical watch.

I like it a lot, and it's nice that it's reasonably priced, so it's not the end of the world if I lose or destroy it.

The second winder moves the bezel around. It's got some sort of compass feature on it, where you line the hour hand up pointing at the sun, adjust the bezel, and it tells you which way is North, etc. Unfortunately, the instructions were in Japanese, so I never did quite figure it out. (not that I really would ever use this feature anyway.)

Hold watch horizontal and point the hour hand towards the sun (making sure to correct for DST).
Halfway between the hour hand and 12 will be south. You can do this with any watch.
Having the rotating bezel with markers just makes it easier to work out the other headings.
(In the southern hemisphere point the 12 marker towards the sun instead).

If your watch has a 24 hour hand like a Rolex GMT, point the hour hand at the sun and the 24 hour hand points north (or south in the souther hemisphere).
