It looks good, fits the way the designer intended it to fit.

Why does TF spec the sleeves so damn long by default? They are beyond the normal range of arm's length by a mile!

Better long than short.

Are we looking at the same pics? Back is clearly longer than the front. See pic below. Back is several inches below knuckles. Front is hiding behind knuckles.

Err, look at the line of the folds in the curtains in the background. The photo has clearly not been taken straight. Rotate it a few degrees clockwise to get a more accurate representation, and this is what you get:

Still think the back is 'clearly longer than the front'?

You make it clear that you were undecided about keeping the suit.

I was wondering the same thing myself... Clearly the sleeves won't be the right length, they're unaltered and still basted. Sleeve length should never be considered when determining whether or not a suit fits well OTR. That is, unless you actually expect to wear it without a single alteration or it has functioning cuffs.

Coming from a bespoke background; holy smokes!! Tom's stuff fits you so perfectly! The fit across the back is particularly fantastic, not a single ripple in sight! I've got one TF and when I eet it back from my tailor I hope it fits like yours does, you lucky lucky man!

I agree, the country suit is loud. But its supposed to be. I somewhat failed and bought a rather sober pattern BUT now that I've seen the loud patterns on a real person, I'm sold. My gut tells me you should do the following:

Go to central park, find where the trees are turning brown, get a grey POW shirt with a high collar band, and a burgundy/deep red tie, with a deep brown calfskin pair of shoes = then take a photograph, and tell Esquire to make you BDRM.

OK this suit doesn't fit well for OTR...............It fits bloody perfect for BESPOKE! It is the nicest fit I have seen here on a person in a VERY VERY long time.

God lord I honestly didn't know TF suits were this nice. The waist suppresion is fantastic! The pattern is outstanding. Tasteful as well.

Seriously, did you get this at a TF store. Please tell me you didn't get this on sale. Where can I get one and how much for that particular one.

If you are genuinely considering not keeping this and it is a 36 or 38 send me an email.

christ i should be working right now but can't get that suit of my mind

Echoing just about every other comment: it's fantastic for an OTR, you and TF are made for each other! I have a similar build as you, I'll have to check TF out myself (and start saving...). The pattern is perhaps a bit bold but I really dig it as 3 piece or just the pants and the waistcoat.

Sleeve look a tad long on the glen plaid but the rest of the fit is great as well as the fit on the 2nd suit.

Looks a lot like the tweed worn by the duke of Windsor in a famous photo. If you like that strongly waisted silhouette, wear it. I hate how upward-pointing the peaks are, but it's clearly a very well made suit.

Which suit do you mean? I don't think the light one is glen plaid, and it's sleeves are a bit more than 'a tad' too long (and the OP knows it). The dark one is too dark for me to tell if it's glen plaid, but I don't think it is either, and the sleeves look about right...
