Sometimes it's much cheaper to go to a better rated public university than a more expensive and lower rated private school.

Forget saving, run up those credit cards and declare bankruptcy at 25.

Double bag it with Sarah.

Skip law school, become a car mechanic.

Hey fucktard, I was trying to get them to stop. In fact, I was trying to explain exactly what you posted above - the thread is about useful advice, not advice that only applies to one person in one moment.

My bit of advice for you at 20? Go *************.

With those though its just like metro said with the basketball manager. Sure knowing what you know now, buying aapl would make sense but what if instead of going back in time to your 20 year old self you just became a 20 year old in 2010. You might have better knowledge of investments but you don't know exactly which stocks will explode or die off. At the time, buying bear stearns or selling apple may have been sound decisions.

Hell, its almost *always* cheaper to go to a good public than one of those money grubbing low-rank privates (even if you don't live somewhere with a strong flagship). In a lot of situations it is even cheaper to go to a top private school than a lower ranked private due to better aid availability. I knew it at the time but I have met a lot of people (ok...so they aren't 20 yet when making this choice but its relevant) who completely write off the top schools because "there is no way I could afford it."...well you will never know if you don't try and apply.

He ended up marrying a smoking hot Israeli woman he met in law school and is happily married to this day.

1. Stay in Japan
2. Stop wearing XL clothes...you're only 5'9" and you barely weigh 150!
3. Don't fill out those credit card applications, especially the one from Structure!!!!

+1 - I used to date only women who were substantially more attractive than I was. economically speaking, it was a mismatch, and it meant that I had much less sex, with less well performing women, who were better looking. if I had been less choosy, I would have had more sex, with more greatful women, and the only thing that I would have lost would have been some aestetic enjoyment.

1. Stop trying to please or be someone else. Just be you and find out what you're good at, what you like and how you like it.

2. Stop waiting for someone to show you leadership. Just because you sit in a room with 30 or 40 year olds, doesn't mean they want to take the reins. Carpe diem and all of that. History doesn't remember the second place people.

3. Enjoy the little things in life. For god's sake enjoy that 7 hours you had sitting in front of the computer because you didn't have to spend 2 hours to maintain your body, 3 hours running errands, etc.
