My old alligator belt from Longhi got lost in the move to our new apartment, so I need a replacement. However, there seems to be no way of contacting Longhi directly from the U.S., and I haven't been able to find a U.S. retailer who will order what I want from them.

So, does anyone have a clue as to where I can try? If not, what other makers should I can turn to? I'm looking for the best quality possible--both in terms of the skin and the craftsmanship. I looked at April in Paris, but none of the colors appeal to me. I'd prefer a soft, matte hide.

I don't even know where to begin. I know places where I can get an alligator belt, probably of decent quality, but nothing special.

Perhaps it's time to look into other exotics.

Foo, try House of Fleming out of all places Atlanta - they use a few of tanneries that are owned by Hermes. They have any skin you could ask for, including matte or suede croc. Ask for the owner Bob.

How's the workmanship? Do they do the Tubo?

No, "Tubo" was his official title.

I would never leave the UWS. There is no where else to go.

JM Weston sells them (although don't recall if the asking price from that seller is in the ballpark).

Vox prefers Allen Edmonds for his gator belt. I'm guessing it's a first quality.

I shudder to think a legend lives in my neighborhood.
