I always assumed that one aspect of style was the ability to give a person a hard-on. However I have increasingly noticed certain posters answering thoughtfully and sometimes doing the online version of a dead fish in bed when "answering" less informed member's questions or statements. It seems that the default answer for many members is along the lines of "That's an excellent question; I've oft wondered it myself" or "Welcome to the forums!"

The thing is, I think many people forget that the average fashion-unconscious male is actually a cuckold. Being nice will not get them off. Is styleforum doing its part in humiliating new members, in cruelly demonstrating to them how much smaller their arsenal of style knowledge is than that of the typical senior member (master)? Often times a poster may have simply stumbled upon this site, and not yet spent the 5 hrs required to sift through all the erection-inducing WAYWRN Appreciation. Hell, three minutes of surfing should emasculate them enough to turn them on. But the question is, are members even doing these searches? Would it not be more helpful for us to show off our erotic elitism and shoeporn snark early on to help induce some boners amongst our newest humiliation-seeking cuckposters?

As such I think we would really be turning people on to what I believe is a very useful and otherwise erogenous community.
