Is it OK to wear spectators in the fall/winter season?

I live in Milwaukee and I want to wear my spectators in to the Fall and Winter seasons. We have a true 3 month Fall and we get 3 solid months of Winter. I have both Black/White and Brown/White AEs.
Any suggestions on how to pull this off? Are there any guidelines? Any suggestions?
Have at me.

If you were in the UK, you would be very limited , as the "purist" would demand that specs be worn at garden parties in the summer.

In a tropical or even semitropical climate (Miami, Palm Beach, Charleston), you may be ok with the bourbon/bone specs; but the black/white would be over the top in fall/winter.

I think you are okay with bourbon/bone through the early fall, but they may look out of place by the end of September.

Keep in mind that 99 percent of the public has no idea what these rules are, or even what a spectator (co-respondent) shoe is in the first place.

I think this is what matters the most.

Neither could I, and certainly not in f/w.

It is not something you should do. It's inappropriate and in poor taste, strange and weird. Save them spring and summer. Just don't do it!

I'd prefer to keep the rule myself, but if you want advice on how to break it, I'd say just wear them only when there's no snow on the ground.
