Vox, do you ever sleep?

You're like the Bill Compton of mens style. Except he'd drain the blood from your yankee ass I suppose. But not look as well put together while doing it. So, props to you for that...

Frankly, I don't get the infatuation with old era BB collars. Here's a picture of my BB collar from 2008. Mine are perfectly fine now. If anything, I think my picture shows a just as nice or nicer roll than the picture of the 70s shirt.

I'm confused by this thread. To me, the "collar roll", is the natural way a soft collared button down rolls over a tie. I don't see the point of pictures of open collar shirts. In fact, to the extent that an open collar button down makes big circles on each side of the neck, it makes me think they are lined in bakelite. To each his own, I suppose, but to me its about asymmetric rolling of the collar like waves.

Still looks like the collar rolls to me, whether with or sans tie. Just a different effect, depending on the length of the collar and placement of the buttons.

This is a great comparison. This ^ is a great looking shirt and tie combo....but this V is uniquely beautiful.

What is wrong with the shirt collar? It looks off, is it your posture or are the button placements asymmetric?

Nothing is 'wrong' with it -- this is the collar roll we are talking about. Sometimes it is symmetric, sometimes it is not (depending on the collar construction, tie fabric etc). To my eyes, CP's collar looks absolutely beautiful..

What have you been smoking? The buttons look off and clearly something is wrong, it might be the photo angle but it doesn't look right. I am not referring to collar roll, right button is placed further down than left button.
