I tried to, apparently it didn't work. Oh yes, I should definitely have added whnay.

Anyway, maybe I'll start calling every outfit in WAYWRN that's ****** ******. Might be a lot of work though.

It was never that except among the few that chose to see it that way. In the earliest days before digital pics were so common, it was just text that said what folks were wearing with no idea of fits.

There's only so much one can say about chambray. Sad, but true...
I never mentioned that I've liked chambray for work shirts ever since my dad brought one back from Maine for me back in '88. I still have it. Have sewn a few holes in it but never wear it for fear that it will die. Maybe some day I'll try finer stuff.

Of course not. In the grand scheme of things ... clothing is relatively minor from my point of view. That is probably why I enjoy talking about clothes ... doing so takes my mind off things that are ... well ... more pressing. It's a lesser form of meditation in the way it clears the mind.

No question but FWIW and IMHO there are less than 3x that number that actually know what they are talking about or have more than an ounce full of taste / perspective.

I like being able to share my experiences with this forum because its my way of giving back to others, such as yourself, that have made the process of acquiring bespoke clothing et al more approachable. I think without this thread and many of the other experiences shared in other threads, SF would be a joke and a fragment of what it once was.

I can understand and appreciate that not everyone is going to like what Rubinacci has to offer - if that was the case his business would be a lot more booming than it is. I can say, however, that I've seen a lot (meaning I've visited the shops, met the owners, tailors etc not just viewed photos online) of what most would consider the top rung of the bespoke world and LH ranks very high on that list from a quality and design perspective. And I would also say as it relates to the "internet" favorable tailoring house, LH is one of the more consistent on the web.

Finally, while I can't opine on the customer services levels at a lot of other places all I can say is that for being a relatively small time client Mariano and the entire firm has made good on every promise - including going above and beyond in some cases.
What a great post. Thanks for showing your stuff. I've appreciated it. I post what little of my stuff that I do to try to give back too.

Btw, why has no one posted the links to the recent LL threads on LH?

need someone strong, with a firm grip, and pull down on the quarters like there is no tomorrow! I've seen him a few times in different jackets, none of them fit him in the neck, it's strange.

This is an excellent post and a good description of what SF offers at its best. I certainly appreciate the folks who have taken the time to post about their experiences, to say nothing of those who are brave enough to post pictures.

I asked the tailor about this. Apparently Mariano wants his jackets that way. He likes it. Odd, and frustrating to his tailor.

That tie and PS combo is not working for me at all.

I generally really like what he wears.
