Black suits outside of funerals

OK, I know black suits (I'm not including tuxedos) are frowned upon outside of funerals, and especially during the day. But are funerals the ONLY occasion to wear them? Do any of you ever busy one out for happier occasions?

Pretty much, they're kind of useless in any other environment. Unless your a men in black like will smith or tommy jones.

Depends on the fabric. Many people call charcoal or midnight blue suits black.
