Would like critique & opinion of my first suit

I bought a clearance Hugo Boss suit from Barney's that seemed to fit me pretty well. I already tailored the pant's length, along with the sleeve's length. The tailor kept insisting that I wanted the sleeve shorted too much; I eventually decided to meet him "halfway", and it seems that the sleeves are still too long; I'm going to get it shortened by about 1/4 more inches, I think. The shoulders should also be alright (I think?), since its the exact length as my shoulder; both are 17.5 inches. Also, as for the pants: I do realize that they're too big by about an inch. I tried to pull the pants up to where I plan to have them naturally sit at on my waist, and just force them to stay there while tightening my belt, but I think it helped produce some of the more unsightly effects around the crotch area. I think my pants might also have slowly fallen in the few seconds it took for me to take these pictures... edit: If I ask the tailor to take the jacket in and make the sleeves smaller, would it be possible for the jacket to fit me properly? Or should I just not bother with that, try to sell this one, and try to get another suit in a smaller 36? I'm confused about how the jacket shoulder length is the same exact length as my shoulder, yet have it seem too big. Is the jacket shoulder length naturally supposed to be a little smaller than your actual shoulder? Edit#2: took a couple of pictures with a smaller jacket, size 34, on the top of the second page. Would like comments on whether I should get a size 34 for hugo vs a 36.

Do you arms naturally hang like that? It looks that if you have them hang straight down the sleeves might be a bit too short.

I agree with the previous poster that suit may be a size too large.

=/ It's already a 36, although it's slightly leaning towards a 38. If the current shoulder length is 17.5 on it what shoulder length should I be aiming for? A 36 with 17 inches? 16.5? Or is the shoulder length good, just that the jacket is too big overall?

If that's the case, you might need something Dior Homme style slim because Boss is usually already slimmer.

Pants are a bit baggy, I have them taken in some and shorted a bit. The jacket seems to be fine but you might want to have the sides take in a bit as well.

In my experience, the more tailoring you need to do, the less satisfaction you'll get from the end result.

A size 36 Hugo Boss may very well be a typical 38. They tend to run larger than normal. The suit is too big for you, try a different brand in size 36.

Alright, I borrowed my dad's size 34 Hugo and took a couple of pics with it. It looks better, but there's that weird crease at the back right below my neck. The jacket I'm wearing has a shoulder length of 17.25 inch and a chest length of 19.75 inch vs my jacket with 17.5 inch & 20 inch, correspondingly.
