I had looked/lurked quite a bit on this issue, and have found many helpful guides here on removing neck stains, but not so much on preventing them in the first place.Originally Posted by daspianist

This summer in Toronto was a scorcher and on any typical ultra-hot humid day I went through 4 sheets of paper towel. No matter how much I sweat on those days my collars stayed stain-free.
Not very glamourous but it was discreet and it worked.

hey toronto_matt! if you're looking for a solution to remove deodorant stains, you should check out a new product called deo-go. i tried it out and wrote a review on it a few weeks back - it worked great.
do a google search for "deo-go" and you'll be able to find the company website as well as my review.

Firstly, if you stop using deodorants, lotions and soaps that contain aluminum and other questionable ingredients/chemicals, you'd be surprised by how much difference you'd start to notice. The stains and smells are reduced BIG-TIME.
Along with that, your best bet is to devise a stain treatment strategy that works for you and make sure to use it immediately after changing clothes. Under-shirts never hurt either.

I always dab on a little baby or talcum powder around the neck, seem to work just fine as long as you don't mind the odor of it.

I do a lot of walking plus I often try to wear shirts two times before cleaning just to cut down on the wear and tear of the wash. My method above is almost more pre-emptive than anything, but it seems to work!Originally Posted by Slewfoot
