SPELLBOUND is a Japanese men's collection label by Domingo Ltd which Blue Owl is proud to introduce to North America beginning spring 2011. SPELLBOUND is influenced by details found in traditional work wear, military wear, and outdoor wear and reconstruct them into men's fashion with modern designs and clean silhouettes. 100% of the label is made and designed in Japan by Japanese artisans. The label was established in 1981 by Domingo Ltd which also makes other well know Japanese labels such as OMNIGOD and DMG which we hope to introduce in future seasons.

SPELLBOUND is a name in denim that a lot of people outside Japan aren't too familiar with. However, since 1981 they have been turning out cutting edge denim clothing within Japan and are now making a push to break into the international market. Held in high regard amongst denim connoisseurs, their jeans are best known among fans for authentic washes and high quality construction. SPELLBOUND's denim features natural indigo dyed 14oz special dark selvedge fabric woven by conventional shuttle looms in the Okayama prefecture city of Kojima, Japan. The denim's standard details include custom copper rivets, hidden back pocket rivets, doughnut buttons, leather patches, and chainstitched hems and available in raw and washed models in 4 different cuts.

SPELLBOUND's tops and outwear feature modern fits and authentic details such as triple needle stitching and selvedge accents.

Domingo Ltd has a long history of Japanese craftsmanship. It is a family owned business originally established in 1946 as a uniform manufacture and in 1970 turned their focus towards denim and casual wear for both men and women. Now Domingo's labels can be found in select shops, department stores, and their own flag stores throughout Japan as well as several locations internationally. Each of Domingo's labels share the concept of placing value on materials, sewing, processing, and the workmanship of generations of Japanese artisans. The aim is to add "present-innovation" in their creations. All Domingo products are made in Japan.

I just bought a pair of pants from Blue Owl, awesome service. Recently saw a bunch of Spellbound stuff overseas. In particular a grey sportcoat with deerskin elbow patches. Good stuff. This guy may take some more of my money.

Pricing will be determined after I can figure out shipping, duties, and hopefully the JPY will start to come down. I am expecting denims to be $225-$255 for raws and $275-$375 for washes, button downs about $175-$265 (similar to Sunny Sports), and outwear $300s and up. Affordable.

Sizing is good. On tops, I wear size 2 on most items at 6' 170lbs and they will go up to size 4. Bottoms, size 28 to 36.

Yeah, thought about that. I've actually visited some stores which stock Omnigod in person, but money was always spent on something else instead - I'd prefer to buy denim in person (or at least buy online the ones I've touched before), since texture is more important for me than anything else.

But Jay's prices look good, especially considering the strong Yen!

I'm glad to see you are picking up Spellbound, Jay. I particularly like the toggle vest, and really like these buckelbacks (raw?):

And also this wool/covert? jacket:

And, of course, the shirts look great.
