I am diggin those Ugolinis. I am going to be visiting Firenze in the near future, and have decided upon a pair of green [or olive] monks a la the JL Vale. I have decided to go for the 'dream shoe' for my first foray into bespoke methinks.

Would you mind relaying what the prices were currently?

you carried that big ass wooden box on foot in that heat? I don't care how expensive taxis are in Tokyo, it must have been worth every yen.

Good catch Fritzl! I'm betting that's just a variation of a bound edge with the binding strip pulled down and into the shoe/under the lining. Visually it looks like a folded edge but the lining is sewn to that binding strip. Impressive. Looks a little like water buffalo...maybe?

Thank you. But you should see the original film; the cheap office scanner eliminates a lot of detail and texture.
