Thank you for the advice. I've been doing a lot of research, and it seems that the consensus is that the CFA is relatively useless for Investment Banking/Private Equity and that most people in the industry do not hold a CFA. Was I misinformed?

just out of curiosity what got you interested in investment banking?
Money, which I now need since SF changed my life.
CFA is definitely not useless. Around here some banks won't even consider hiring you if you don't have it... They do however have a reputation of being a bit picky about that.
