Thank you, they are raspberry pinkinsh in real life and have a very nice patina due to their age. And yes that's the print....

All my ties are in storage. I recently bought this Venanzi knit on the B & S and it is the only tie available.

I'd prefer such ties @ winter. In fact I think the whole outfit looks wintery. It's nice and well balanced out though.

I would maybe pick a lighter coloured shoe, a monk, with this combination, besides.

Beautiful suit, and major props for busting this out in India, during the summer. Damn!

Like IB above, I tend to associate knits more with autumn than summer. But more than that, I just don't like horizontally-striped ties*, and knits tend to have a preponderance of this pattern. I don't find them aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Solid knits, sure. Dotted knits, fine. But banded knits don't do it for me unless they're low-contrast (I seem to recall a muddy maroon band on muddy green that I quite liked). (*SF heresy, I know!

- great suit AJ ... i covet something like that in a lighter gray.
- as has been said, i agree a different tie and pair of shoes would make this a homerun, but i understand you were just trying stuff out.
