I caught this on ebay.
I decided to bite because the price was a few thousand dollars cheaper than it would have been for a similar item at the store.
The seller has been accommodating, answering all my questions, etc.
He has sold other LV items (handbags) that I have seen authenticated on PurseForum after searching google.
Plus, he sells a lot of jewelery
(which would pretty hard to sell fake and not get called out on...)

But I still am not 100% sure on the authenticity of the jacket.
Everything is perfect.
But the thing that is throwing me off is the font on the buckles.
It is not the LV font.

Can anyone weigh in on this one?
I was going to take it to the LV store
but I figured I'd try online first and save myself a potential embarrassment.
The time line I have on it is it was purchased in Europe in 2009/2008.

Please help.

You dropped $1k US when you weren't sure if it was real? Wow.

I'm sure it seems silly, I know.
But it's very easy to get refunded for fake merchandise from ebay.

Looks fake.

Do LV stores confiscate and then destroy counterfeit items brought in by people for authentification?

Nah they'll just look at you smugly, then sadly contemplate the fact that they too will never be able to afford such aspirational mall brands.

If nothing else, you'll have a thousand dollar rain coat to slog around in. So you've got that going for you, which is nice.
