Question:
Have you guys "protected" your CP's? Like with a water-repellant spray...I bought some from Foot Locker yesterday and gave my summer Achilles 2 coats. Did I just **** up? Is the buttery leather now ruined? ARGH

If you spending a chunk of change on your shoes, i invest a little bit more on some good leather protector for your shoes. I use obenauf.

Obenauf on sneakers? I never heard of that before. Plus doesn't obenauf change the color of the leather a bit? Isn't that how most people darken their Indys?

I never thought about my achilles needing any kind of protective coating. I got them wet briefly in a thunderstorm a few weeks ago but just wiped them off. They're fine.

I use the cream stuff, doesn't darken the leather. I just use it to condition the leather. I find it easier to clean after I put on that stuff. But then again I'm anal and I never wear my white CP's...

Not only CP's. I have protected all of my expensive sneakers.

I've worn my CP's (perforated achilles) daily for the past 3+ years through rain and snow...
Leather is still looks and feels like new
