I think if he buttoned one more button that would sort of negate some of the 70s spread collars?

These are my most loose jeans, dior homme MII 19cm, I think they look horrible. Really tight on the ass and thighs, but almost boot cut like on the calf. Size 11 is fairly normal as I'm 6'2". Need to size up on my uniqlo shirts.

yeah that may help, i think its only been washed once so far. also the colors probably look funny because my camera sucks at indoor pictures, so i had to lighten it a bit in photoshop. also the autocolor thing made it look super saturated, so i turned the saturation down a bit too.

i dont have a problem with 70's things, infact i dig alot of the stuff tom ford is doing. i was just wondering if it made me look silly or not, i suppose it doesn't. collar isn't even really big at all, more medium sized, it just spreads out alot.

i've never really been a fan of only the top button being undone, feels too business casual to me for some reason, i dont know. maybe all my button-ups have the second button too high or something.

I think you look much more proportioned here, though it does look a tad boring. Maybe you could opt for some more interesting washes in this fit and see how you go. At the least I would try to go for some jeans with a bit less severe a taper than the superskinnies you wore in the last fit pic.

The other ones aren't that skinny, they're thinn finns and I bought my true waist size. I might get some 17.5cm waxed diors. 17.5 isn't that skinny is it?

yeah, fuji. imo those and the dolce and gabbanas you posted a while back are much better than the thinn finns you usually have on. I'm 5'11" with size 10.5 feet and skinny ass legs and i run into the same problem as you if i wear truly skinny jeans--i have to be really careful what shoes i pair them with. the slightly less skinny (but still tapered) look of 19 cms are much more flattering, imo

If this is working, and I think it is, I get the sense that the shoes are what is holding it together.

The Diors are a bit too long (for my taste) but other than that, they fit you much better than the Thin Finns.

Nice job, the turtleneck and the blazer work really well together (although you might want to taper & shorten the blazer sleeves). Jeans are a little too tapered, I think the fit works except for the skinny jean thighs. Maybe try it with some New Standards or whatever Nudie has close to that (Grim Tim?), and enjoy a less top-heavy silhouette. All that is just dicking around though, fit looks good and shoes are beautiful. Raleigh Sinclair before Margo ruined his self-esteem concept.
