From novels that I have actually read myself, I'd say:
The Brothers Karamasov (Dostojevski)
The Red and the Black (Stendhal)
Oblomov (Ivan Goncharov)
Maybe that's about it, can't remember many more, I'm not much into novels...

I thought this was way overrated, save for one great line, something to the effect of:
"He was out to get back everything he had lost, there was no end to his loss, this thing would go on forever."

The whole novel is full of so many fantastic quotes that evoke so many different emotions and much like the rants of Captain Ahab they are much more entertaining when you read them out loud. I’ve only read On the Road in its entirety once and since that day I’ve been carrying around a copy to read random pages out of when I have only a few minutes to spare. I also carry another novel to read during longer periods of downtime. Here is a video that shows Jack reading a passage from Visions of Cody and the ending of On the Road that first sparked my interest in the book:
