No double breasted for me. I'm very tall and thin, and I don't think I've seen a DB done well on anyone with my frame. DB also strikes me as too formal for my needs.

The only DB suits I see IRL are either fat or old guys with ugly, sagging low buttoned DB suits or young trendy guys in silly H&M or Zara looking, ill-fitting DB suits. DB sport coats IMO are a capital offense and cannot ever look good.

The classic DBs are smoking jackets and blazers, both odd jackets.

Stop frenchfrying this thread.

Will you bicycle away in defeat if I post a pic of Jerry Lewis in an odd DB?

Huh?

vox - we know that you own every style of every piece of garment ever designed since the Renaissance. And in every cloth and color. Because, well, why not? That said, other people have to make decisions in life and cannot simply just buy 3 of everything and de facto end up liking everything. Yes, crazy as it sounds, some of us first decide if they like something and then make a purchase decision.

Suits, none (5:0).

Sport coats, well, I tried... the result is now for sale, since it was too tight (thus much for the DBs-are-for-portly-people narrative), and I remain at a 10:0 ratio.
