Obviously the second pair are approximately a thousand times more awesome. I'd never seen this 'Desert Mali' before yesterday, but it seems I'll be able to get a beige pair on the cheap. I think they strike the balance between workwear, wrestling, and desert boot quite nicely.

Apparently the desert mali is being reissued for FW 2010. From the various web sources, the reissue style might include black, brown, and three types of suede (guessing desert tan, some type of brown, not sure on the 3rd version). UK only, possibly. Anyway, am mildly intrigued.

Anybody know the price, and of a US source, or a UK dealer willing to deal to the US?

Sand Suede or

Beeswax I can't decide...leaning towards the sand suede but I'm worried it might get dirty easily and I can't wear it in the rain.

Beeswax or sand? They're both nice. Why not get both?

My sentiments exactly, I have a pair of sand but every retailer near me seems to be sold out off beeswax in my size.

Anyone know how often Clarks ships to retailers?

Just get them on Ebay. Plenty of sizes and they're like $75 new.

Bushacres are pretty much a DB on a rubber sole. Two eyelets. Same stitching. Don't know if it's the same quality as DBs but they look very similar.

See JCPenny for Bushacre pics:

I have a pair of bushacres that I purchased from a Clarks store, they are the same as the ones in that picture. 3 eyes, rubber sole with zigzag tread, same stitching.
