Not sure what the big deal is. Not only is it indirect (supporting a group who chose to support a candidate) but the group is supporting the candidate for economic reasons, not because they hate gay people and mexicans. Seems like a pretty important distinction to make.

Red wine would be a lovely boot colour, but lacks the cache of saying "I'm gonna lace-up my Right Wings and head down to the Art College for a cappuccino and check-out the poetry slam, brah!"
