Okay, so I've always been the boots, jeans, plain t-shirt kind of guy, but I'm going to L.V. for New Year's and I want to "play the role" I guess. Plus, it's time I update my wardrobe anyhow. I was wondering what would be considered nice to wear at the higher-end casinos like the Bellagio and Caesar's Palace? I have some ideas of what I think I can pull off. I like a lot of the Calvin Klein dress shirts and some Hugo Boss pants. Here's kind of my style of a pants and shirt combo: Is this SF approved? I've been looking at some nice shoes, as well. I like some of the Allen Edmonds Oxfords, but not quite looking to spend that much. How is Cole Haan? Also, I need a watch to wear with dress-ier stuff, too. I know this is cheap, but how do you guys like it? http://www.amazon.com/Seiko-SKP333-D...49995&sr=1-293 All in all, I just need help. Thanks greatly.

That combo is probably not quite 'SF approved', we tend to not like dark shirts so much, but it would probably look perfectly fine for most venues.

Seiko make some nice watches, but this particular one you've linked looks a bit tacky to me. Black face, gold hands, and no numbers, bleurgh.

I'm quite partial to the black/gold combo. I like the Movado's, but definitely can't afford one. Is black and gold tacky in general, or just this watch?

Depends what you plan to do. If it's just gamble and tourist, wear whatever you're comfortable in. You won't look out of place in shorts and a t-shirt nor a proper suit.

If you want to go to a club, you have to dress up a bit; look either classy or trendy and like a total douchebag. Either should work.

Even some of the nicer restaurants are casual. The really nice ones are jacket required for me or "appropriate attire which can vary."

Yea, I keep hearing you can wear whatever you want, which is nice I guess, but I don't want to wear the boring t-shirt/jean combo I usually wear. I mean, it's Vegas..

They tend to favor the style of Rubinacci in Las Vegas.

Vegas is great for gambling, entertainment, dining, partying, relaxing, and chasing women. It's fun to think it's something it's not, but it's definitely not the LV of the 1950s where there was a dress code or rules written or unwritten.

You'll be fine in that combo. Vegas is pretty casual.
