I just ordered it last week so I'm still waiting to receive it. I figured you can't go wrong at that price.

I actually really like this. Is it worth the 75$? Hows the quality, etc?

I used to travel a lot on business so when I went away for a weekend of fun or vacation I wanted an anti-work bag. I got this from LL Bean in the late 80's. It is canvas with leather handles and brown vinyl trim. We are heading off to a remote beach town in Mexico soon and the rule is, if it doesn't fit in this bag it doesn't go.

Not Unc's picture

mine really hasn't aged very well, unsurprisingly haha it is real leather though, but the finish has come off in a lot of areas, the zipper got jammed in the lining and i had to cut it out haha. in its defense though, i'm really rough on it and throw it under my seat on the bus and ****. it's a good beater. i still think it's a cool bag and it gets a lot of compliments

+1. Pretty much exactly what I've been looking for trips from Vancouver-Victoria.

Ugh too bad there is no navy option, black is so dreary...

My current weekender is this big-ass sturdy brown leather thing I found at Goodwill, it's actually really attractive. Thrift stores are a great place to buy leather bags in general, the leather endures and it takes longer for the cuts and colors to go out of style. Plus you know it's already lasted a decade or two, and will likely hold up for a while.

I don't have anything against workwear, but goddamn those Filson bags are ugly, the texture of the canvas is awful.

I just finished packing for a longer trip (6 weeks) and I must say I used a dreaded rolling (Briggs&Riley), the amount of stuff you can fit in a carry-on is impressive and that thing is quite sturdy,

edit: Just got a personal description from my friend. The zips are plastic, and the leather on the handle is fake leather. The inside lining is nylon. He says the bag seems waterproof, and it is a good size to be carry on luggage. The Herschel duffle is a good cheap alternative if you're looking for a beater duffle, but there are way better ones out there.

Also, this Jil. Would love to own, but finances....

I had the Raf crinkle, was great for a durable carry-on, gave it to winq when he went on the plane back home.
