Actually I had a friend who did that tip scam to me as well. But we had to shell out extra to cover his 5% tip. We also ran with a group who regularly got hooked up with drinks from a bartender and my douche friend would show up, drink a free shot or two and just order water when asked what else he wanted. We all stopped getting hooked up after a few more episodes of that.

AAHHGHH This makes my blood boil! ARG

I'll post another story later. So many to choose from!

+1. If he is a good friend, he should be able to understand where you are coming from. If he doesn't and can't take the criticism, then I think it may be time to hang out less. Maybe he will come to and realize that he is the epitome of douchebaggery.

I just want to weigh in and say that Saltricks - you are a great writer and have a very very good memory which is extremely beneficial to your storytelling. I wouldn't be surprised if you knocked out a quality book or two. Maybe you should write a magazine style article about this guy.

Also, based on the chronology - seems like after years of losing "bitches" to "6'2" white guys wearing abercrombie" your friend decided to douche it up so that he'd be on the other side of the equation. Turns out that he was wrong about why girls weren't digging his business, and just made things worse.

The OP has never told us what douchefriend looks like - all we know is that he's Asian, and wishes he were a 6'2" white guy. Is he the type of guy that is barely 5'6" and works out a ton, thinking bulk/muscles will make up for his lack of height? Does he look like a Mongoloid? Is he a balding fat dude and slathers gel onto the three remaining hairs on his head? Inquiring minds want to know...

I think I mentioned that he's not BAD looking (it's just when he opens his mouth

). He looks a bit mixed (he's filipino with some chinese I think). One weird thing about his face is his beady eyes. When he wears glasses, they are fine but when he takes them off...

Body wise he is skinny, but not muscular or defined. He is about 5'8". His hair is kind of like the guy below:

Actually, looking at the picture...imagine an asian version of the guy above. That's pretty much him.

Yea, 5'8" is kind of on the short side - I could see how he thinks growing an extra 6" would help him out. Maybe instead of investing (and I use this term loosely) in True Religion jeans and Versace shirts, he should buy some of these bad boys: http://www.tallmenshoes.com/

We essentially yelled at him for hours, telling him how pathetic he was for driving a benz and not being able to tip even a little bit (it wasn't even his own money for godsakes) and trying to cover it up on top of that.
How did he react to this?

Back in high school......For at least 3 hours, he tailed her, texting me about every little thing she was doing
Ok, if you're out of college this was probably 6 years ago.
Were people texting that much 6 years ago? No.
Something is off with this timeline.

How did he afford a Mercedes in college?
How did he get a lease financing with zero income? (student)
Who paid the insurance (which includes collision/comp for a leased auto)
If his parents paid, are they still paying his bills?

Also, you said he leases a new Benz every "year or two"
I have never heard of leases under 3 years.

What does douchebag friend do for a living?
What was his major?

You have graduated college.
You guys still live in the same town?
You went to the same HS and college?

When he goes on a date, is he a cheapskate or a big spender?

ok im kind of buzzed right now (just went out with douchefriend, good story there) but ill try to answer this

His parents got the lease for him, insurance, etc
they are still paying his bill
i dunno how long the leases are but it seems he gets a new car pretty often ( i dont see how this has to do with anything)

douchebag is an intern right now at a stockbroker firm
major was first it was airplane flying, then something i cant remember, then business (risk assesment)

he lives close by me. We went to different HS/colleges

trick question, he doesn't go on dates. But I guess what you COULD call a date, he is usually a cheapskate

Whats with the spanish inquisition here?

And also, I was texting back in 8th grade so I really don't know what you mean that something is off. Are you asian? We've been texting since it was invented. I used to be able to text one handed on those old alpha numeric keyboards without looking. I dunno whats so unbelievable here.

I hope that clears up any doubts you have haha

As I said, buzzed right now, looking for some Appreciation to help me go to sleep...decided to check styleforum...saw posts, answered...etc...
