I know a lot of these careers pay well, but some of the jobs people on this forum have sound so painstakingly boring that I'm not sure I could sit through one of you explaining to me what the job is like, much less the job itself.

Move one province east and hit up the Potash or Uranium sector, because we all know Calgary is hella gay anyways. PCS and CAMECO are pretty straight ballin'.

There's your first problem. Move out of Canada.

Haha mannn, I'm pretty sure the only places I'd want to live in Canada would be Vancouver or Toronto..I'm really tired of it here.

And also, my new job isn't even in Calgary, it's in Edmonton

I would love to, but with accepting this new job I have to acquire a bit of experience here before I can consider other places. The company I'm working with acquired quite a few drilling contracts in Houston, so I'll be there a significant amount for work, and within the next 3-4 years maybe moving there.

I also may have the option to work in San Fran (Uncle is a big deal at a company there)...so we'll see..but I'm committed to Canada for at least the next 2-3 years.

Currently live in Regina .. working for the Gov as an environmental analyst. You know, gotta care for the environment just enough to get the ladies.

Moving to Edmonton at the end of August to do my master's in economics though

But ya.. I like it in Regina. Really easy to be a big fish in the small pond that is Saskatchewan. $100,000/year puts you in the top 5% of income earners, and you can live very well at that income.

Nice, where'd you do your undergrad? I did mine at the U of A as well, then I moved back to Calgary which was home, ironically I ended up getting a job back in Edmonton so I'm shipping back in a few weeks. Where you gonna be living?

Undergrad at University of Regina. Haven't decided 100% on a place. I signed up for the new Graduate residence on campus, but they sent me the lease yesterday and it's from Sept 1 to July 31 .. which I'm not signing a lease that ends 3 months after the end of the winter semester. So back on the market for a place unless they'll change the end date for the lease.
