Again, I don't give a **** (no pun) about that thread and whether or not you think you speak French better than me. Really, believe me. I brought it up now and here because it's pretty clear to me that you whip yourself into a panty frenzy anytime someone challenges you. The toilet example was so dramatically obvious that you were incorrect and were simply being corrected, yet you wanted to fight over and over for god know what reason. Now, if you're not 100% wrong like that, the fight you'll put up and ensuing drama and tears can reach epic proportions.

Christ, knowledge of French wasn't even the point I was talking about. You're the one who tried fighting me about the French language, which I will freely and willingly admit you speak much better than I do. I was talking about word origins in English. Your consistent and persistent failure to grasp that point -- based on the poor word-tence choice in my initial post -- is what launched the whole misunderstanding and fueled it.

Incorrect. I get pissed when someone misunderstands or misrepresents me. If someone challenges a point I make with logic or with a valid retort, I quite often concede or acknowledge the point.

I used a verb tense poorly (saying this "does" mean something in French, when I should have said "did"), and you misunderstood the point I was trying to make. Fact. I tried pointing this source of misunderstanding out, and you wouldn't have any of it. You still won't. You're the one with the inflexible position here, refusing as you to do try to piece together the source of the misunderstanding.

Are you actually serious? How can anyone understand what you're trying to say if you use the wrong words to say it? Just say " oh shoot, I meant did not does" and that's the end of it - no misunderstanding, no linkage to wikipedia and other medieval times dictionary references... You wrote the wrong word, I read it correctly (I did not misunderstand or misread, I read exactly what you wrote).

I misused a verb tense, but the remaining context of what I was saying made it pretty obvious what I was trying to say. That you didn't pick up on it isn't my fault. At any rate, you misunderstood me. You continue to misunderstand me. And that's what is truly laughable. The reason I didn't immediately say "I meant did, not does" is because it took me quite awhile to figure out what had caused the misunderstanding in the first place. Your attacks and replies were so bizarre that I literally had to take a few minutes to think about where they could possibly have stemmed from. At least I took the time to do that, which you did not and will not. Seriously, take this **** to PMs if you want to keep beating an old, decaying horse.
