Oh . . . bench pressing. I thought you were saying we were doing something else. I got distracted with myself, and then re-read the sentence.

And you wonder why A&S does double better?

It looks like the front part of the coat is too long to me --- not sure whether to call it long front balance or crooked. Tom Mahon's mentioned to me that he likes to cut a coat with a long front balance, and then work it back. Perhaps this A&S coat is some variant of that style.

Mine is back in Cumbria right now to have the waist taken in further and to have all three patches reshaped to an older, curvier version of of a patch design from A&S.

And now, I'll duck.

Vox,

Even though you don't have the "A" front, I much prefer Manton's coat to yours. I think you've made the right call by having the waist slimmed further - should look better.

I can understand changing the pockets, but why the waist??? It looks really good as is.

He already has such a big drop from his shoulders to waist. More waist suppression will make him look like a balloon animal tied at the torso.

Here's what more waist suppression would look like. I think it looks ridiculous, but my bet is that almost everyone else prefers it:

Probably doing so to make the fronts less roomy rather than create more shape. Fronts appear a bit full.
Voxx can verify or explain for himself if he wishes.

Well, I'll gladly leave the technical to you--all I can say is that I think it looks very nice as is. I think the slight roominess comes across as elegantly relaxed.
