Should you use shoe trees in moccasin constructed loafers? They're much more malleable than dress shoes, so I'm afraid that using shoe trees will stretch them out.

so apart from poly blend suits being a bit hot to wear (not really a concern for me as I live in a cold climate), why should I avoid a suit thats 70% wool and 30% polyester?

I'm looking to get a slim fitting suit, hopefully for under £150, I can't go much higher than that right now, and all i've found is blends.

I dont really want to spend more than that, because as soon as I get insurance for my car, i'm going to be joining the gym and gaining some weight, so the suit probably wont fit for very long, I just need something that fits in the meantime.

Get a 42R but in a brand that runs slim.

Depends on the "last." However, based on my (very) limited experience, Allen Edmonds seem to run somewhat narrow and long. For instance, in PF Flyer sneakers I take a 9D; in Sperry's I take a 9E; and in most other shoes, I take a 9E. But in my AE McClains and Everetts I take an 8.5EEE. Your best bet is to find a local dealer, try on a bunch of different AE shoes, write down the models, look up the lasts, and when you decide to order a pair, buy a model built on a last that fits your foot best. Otherwise... find a shoe you like, read the last description to make sure it sounds appropriate for your foot, order it in multiple sizes (length? width? both?), and send back the ones that don't fit. Most websites (e.g. Endless) and AE dealers have good return policies. Just make sure you only wear the shoes on carpet to try them on.

Can anyone recommend pants for a very business casual work environment? I'd like something a bit fitted but not slim. I have a behind and big thighs so slim doesn't work. I bought Bill's Khakis in the M2P fit and I like them, but they're not as neat/fitted as I'd like.

Thanks in advance.

If you want cheap, try banana republic or express. I found express pants to be of excellent value when on sale. They always have 30% or 40% sales going on.

Thanks for the tips. Can you recommend any higher end stuff? I've never tried Express and try to avoid BR.

Then don't you mean the AE's run long?

Whoops. Sorry about that. Wasn't thinking. Yes, they run long.

Ralph Lauren Black Label. i'm not sure how big your thighs are when you say "big", but they are pretty fit without being ultra-slim. another option would be the made in Portugal Incotex

What brick and mortar store can I go to in the Chicagoland area to buy a box to store my ties? I am looking for a nice, wooden box.

How many ties do you have that you want to store them in a box?
