Shoe Repair Question (Captoe Splitting)

Hello,

A few months ago I purchased a great pair of Church's Consuls from eBay (used, of course). After a few months of heavy-ish use (they are/were my favorite pair), the outer leather ripped at the seam of the captoe. To illustrate:

I can see that the leather itself has separated, allowing me to see the liner of the inside when I exacerbate the tear. Is there anything that can be done about this, or should I begin a quest for a new pair?

Thanks

Not an easy problem.. Reparation can be done, but I don't think that you will be satisfied with the result.

That will teach you to buy (and wear) second hand shoes. Throw them away, they cannot be repaired satisfactorily.

In future buy new ones.

Honestly , I never seen before used shoes until I registered on this forum.

Those have already the shape of the prior feet , to not speaking about hygiene issues.

Why do you buy used shoes, for economy ?
