Though, the poll shows that more men under 50 wear them than those over 50. Of course, what it really shows is that the sample isn't random!

I think the no-socks in this context is ridiculous, but overall it shows that tall thin people can pull off tassel loafers

I do the no socks look with a full suit all the time, usually with linen and always with tassels. I think it irks most people.

Ugh, I hate them. I realize I may be in the minority, but they really are ugly.

Late 30s an up. I am in my early 30s and would never consider wearing them.

I have never seen that many tassel loafers in London but I'm not working in the banking industry myself...

I sometimes take the commuter trains and I didn't spot any...

A lot of terrible black cheap shoes only...

They used to be in the eighties the apanage of the well-to-do youngsters in Paris in reaction to the socialist government...

They are too casual for a suit but as everything else if you can pull it off..

**Note - been wearing loafers as a part of the 'collection' since I was 17 and could afford to buy my own clothes.

Someone's a little sensitive. Here, the tasseled loafer is the shoe of choice for PI and defense attorneys. Thus, I'll amend it to read: "Plaintiff's or Criminal Defense attorneys' uniform. Often, these two are the same person."
