Best, inexpensive place to live in NYC?

Check Boerum Hill. I live there and it is a great area. Smith and Court Streets are popping with bars/restaurants/etc. It is close to the city(F train at Bergen St is 3 stops from lower Manhattan.) Loads of women(or men if that is ur thing.) Great nightlife. You can walk to Bklyn Heights/Ft Green/Carroll Gdns/etc. Taxis run right down Smith St going back to NYC. Yeah...he's looking at Windsor Terrace or "South Slope" if you will. My sister lived in Windsor Terrace last year with 3 other roommates, had a tiny bedroom (to herself though), and she paid about $550 a month not including utilities.
