It sucks living in an overpriced city...

Can black shoes go with jeans? ^ Those shoes look bulky and ugly, but there's nothing wrong with black shoes and jeans. Just keep the jeans dark, you don't want any high-contrast stuff going on.

recommend a LEATHER belt that is extra thick something like 1.75 width?

some type of shorts, i was thinking chambray, something a bit of a change from the regular flat fronts but not too adventurous.
sperries top siders.
Should I adjust this outfit a bit? Any comments on colors etc.
Also, I'm a very slim guy, so finding well fitting OCBDs is a chore. Meanwhile, quality slimmer shorts than the usual fare are hard to find as well. Suggestions on where to get these items in decent quality would be much appreciated.
