you guys are too hard on the US players, seriously Donovan passing skills are just exceptionnal. Bradley and Dempsey did a pretty solid game. Unfortunatey the US doesn't have a real striker.

He's good and surely one of the best US soccer players of all time. I wouldn't label him as "world-class", though, as he never made in Europe. He hardly played in Leverkusen, he didn't made it into Bayern Munich's first team ( he mostly played in their amateurs team ) and also didn't make the breakthrough in Everton...

But Altidore et al are young. We're getting better in that regard.

Buddle deserves a chance next match. He's been in good form.

That ******* Lion King music the American stations are using is beyond marsupialed considering the rich musical tradition of South Africa.

This sounds just like our highschool coach. The dude knew nothing about the game but he felt we'd get better if we ran more sprints and more laps around the field.

Thank god for my club coaches.

I heard an interview with a british coach this week who said exactly that - the americans were much fitter, but not as technical

You didn't watch Donovan play his spell in England. You just didn't. Otherwise you'd know how big of a hit he was for the toffees.

Yeah no doubt, if they were more spatially aware, they might be a tough team. But I can't count how many times the ball was passed to a white jersey or into empty space with no one running into it. Was scratching my head half the time, like, where are you kicking it?

What the U.S lacks is a proper playmaker. If Bradley were to put a decent playmaker next to his son, the U.S. midfield wouldn't be half bad. Maybe against Slovenia and Algeria he should play Failhaber.

both sides looked unimpressive. Green needs to be beaten, badly.

Actually the US seemed to suffer a lot physically near the end of the match. At times, they were literally besieged in their penalty box by the English.
