Anyone know how sizing runs on these? I'm a 10.5D/E on a brannock (10D Alden Barrie and Trubalance, 43 CP, Lanvin 9, MMM 44 in low GATs) Should I be aiming for a 43 or a 44? Do they run narrow?

TIA

if you're looking for the name of that kind of boot on the top, google 'engineer boots' and paul smith makes a nice slim brogue boot, but its a side zip, not chelsea http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/us/paul-s...productId=8173 someone made a brogue boots thread a while back, try searching for it, you'll probably find some there.

Elgg is a swiss brand. They are no longer (unfortunately) produced in switzerland, afaik in portugal or spain. To be honest, i only know 3 shops in switzerland which sell them, no idea where to get them elsewhere. Price range is in the C&J area.

PSA: A reseller on Ebay has these in blue for a BIN price of $154. The link is for my size, but I noticed he has them in other sizes too. I can't drop the cash right at the moment, but am saving it for later in hope that he still has some in stock. Great price and fantastic looking shoes.

Any recommendations for a good, but not too expensive chelsea boot? I'm looking to buy a pair at the end of the summer and haven't found many that I'm really interested in yet. I'm looking for a dark brown boot without too much of a heel and a nice shape (don't like bulbous or square toes). Any suggestions? Frye has a few, but none of them have really caught my attention. Grenson has some nice pairs too, but they seem harder to find.

My first pairs of alden, got these relatively cheap, $215 and $255, because they are discontinued. Think I'll be returning the ptb on the leydon last as they are a bit loose in the heel(really like the color on these though). The cap toes on the copley last fit me well and the rubber sole should be good for hospital use.
