Watch question

I've been looking for a watch to switch off wear with the rolex datejust I've been wearing every day for a decade (pix of rolex below). Looking for more dressy (suits) than sporty. Small wrists (maybe 6.75) on otherwise average-sized (if a little chunky after a tough winter) 5'9" 50 yr old.

Please give me your opinions on the following two watches on looks, quality, value and the intangible factors guys who are into watches often debate. The watches will cost roughly the same.

Nomos Tangente - new from authorized dealer-- very plain, manual wind -- http://glashuette.com/index.php?id=52&L=1

Bedat No. 7 dual time -- used (2 years old) from reputable seller -- more complicated, automatic -- http://www.bedat.com/index.php?optio...ef=787.010.710

Thanks

Thanks - why do you advise that I stay away from Bedat?

I love the Nomos. I'm planning to get one eventually as my go-to dress watch.

I love the look of the Nomo. As already said very De Ville, with a hint of Patek. I personally love the refined elegance that the Nomo achieves.

The 1st one, i.e. Nomos. It's a good, clean, classic, & simple design.

Between these two, I'd say the Nomos but I don't find it particularly dressy.

What do you recommend for a dress watch, keeping it small for small wrists and keeping it relatively inexpensive (<$2000)?

I would personally look at Longines' Master collection. Lots of great designs and rugged movements between $1 and 2k. Some simple complications can add to an otherwise simple/dressy design. Check them out

I like the Nomos, very understated and distinctive. I'd also check out the IWC Portofino
