Found this pair of Aldens at Goodwill for $19.99. Can anyone give me any info on them? The soles are practically new.

I am not sure, but for $19 you can't complain. You could email pics to Alden, they may know.

damn. that's my size.

Is the J. Gilbert pre-order list different than contacting Adam from Alden of Carmel?

Whiskey chukkas and black denim today.

Can you can see there is some water damage on the side of the boot? It's from when I got stuck in a downpour.

Does anyone know if I can get rid of it somehow?

I can see the damage you are talking about. I think the best (and only) thing to do is just wear them and over time the marks will blend in to the rest of the leather.

Also, I wouldn't call it damage--it's just a slight discoloration. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, The only person who will notice is you. It eventually will just be part of the patina.

Carroll & Co. also have a Pasadena location, if that's closer.

Thanks for all the tips about my whiskey shells. I'm not too worried about it but just thought I'd ask.

Now I definitely want to get my hands on some Renovateur!
