Pardon the ignorance...but how can you tell if they are hand stitched or not? Is there a tell-tale pattern or something? thanks.

Ah right, I read those posts about J Gilbert and got confused. I think they offer the same #8 indy with commando sole, or did at one point. Riiight.

I had the color 8 Gilbert's for a couple of months but sold them after sizing wrong. Unless J.Gilbert had a different run, theirs have eyelets and no hand stitching along the toe. That's why this particular offering from ShoeMart is so unusual.
