Went down to Dutil downtown today to check out their new jean. The cut is actually pretty fantastic. They're $258, though, which is a tough sell for me just because I have no idea how they'll hold up, but I'm still thinking about it. Leaning towards the 24oz naked and famous though... holy crap are those things substantial, it's like wearing armor.

this buddy of man is a huge denim head. he wears like 24 oz denim too. its crazy. he says the **** is so thick and raw that it chafes the backside of his knees. i dont really get the point of having denim this ******* thick. it will take you ages to break it in...and for what?

It's a process. Also I actually want armor for winter wear. I could look at Iron Heart or Samurai heavy stuff but they don't exist here and I'm so sick of buying jeans online where I have no idea how it's going to fit. Unfortunately my only real options here are edwin, n&f, pbj (which I don't like the fit of), APC and a whoooole lot of nudies.

I don't think I'd have a problem with chafing but they're definitely stiff as ****. N&F makes kevlar denim too, but those won't actually stop a bullet, I'm not sure but I think the 24oz actually might.

skinny white jeans are sick, though mango stains don't look as good on them as plain dirt

I had 21oz and moved it on. It was like armor. Not my thing.
