Only if the majority of your outfit is white, kinda like what the page on the left has going on:

Love this one too (elastic cuffs notwithstanding), I think this is a designer from 45RPM:

Whats the difference between this and wearing a crew-neck with a v-neck sweater? It's the same effect only for some reason far less scorned upon. I see this in the same light as bright coloured socks showing at the ankles, that is, it can be a nice touch if it's not too obvious.

I think the crewneck T under a v-neck sweater is equally hated.

Hahaha dammit I actually had this picture saved on my old computer because I loved it, so you got me with this one. But this is some expert level grungy dude style with an outfit pricetag in the 4 digits worn by a dude who is in fact one of the 45 rpm dudes. If you think you can pull **** off at that level then yeah do it but it's something that seems simple but you have to do it really damn perfect for it to not be an eyesore imho (like the fits from the first page). And those elastic cuffs are great, however I don't know if I'd like this nearly as much as I do without the oar. So get an oar or something.

For me, if it isn't either neutral or a color that matches up with the rest of the outfit, it looks awful. I always wear an undershirt, though, more for practical reasons than to make a fashion statement. I'd rather get pit stains on a cheap undershirt that I can just toss when it's beat than on my expensive shirts.

undershirts are not meant to be seen under dress shirts, period. i don't care what people's opinion on the matter is, you still look like a tool if you do it.

admittedly i used to wear a white crewneck undershirt under my button-downs with the top button undone and the white undershirt revealed, and thought it looked ok. now as my tastes are slightly more refined, i see people walking down the street these days revealing that same look and I just cringe inside. if your gonna rock the undershirt, it better be a white v-neck that doesnt show whatsoever.

I could see it being an interesting thing to but it'd have to contrast with your skin and then button-up shirt in a cool way to work. I agree with whoever said that none of the examples in this thread have really improved the outfit in a significant way. They're mostly not bad, just kind of there and in most cases I probably wouldn't even notice them.
