I've been saying this ever since wine talk was limited to WAYDRN

I'd throw in Italians as well, obviously.

Burgs, however, are still pricey. Except the Jean Claude Bachelet AOC Burg. Excellent value.

Hey, that Bandol sounds familiar!

What are you pairing it with?

Surprising night, wine wise.

2007 Chateau Montelena Chard backed up by 2007 INOX Chehalem Chard. Paired with oysters on the half shell, ceviche, achote grilled shrimp, Alaskan king crab legs and a few other things.

Nice.

do you know what a ***** it is to get to JFK? At rush hour? Between the time to get there, the $60 taxi ride, the massive security check.

Besides, tonight was a culinary evening like few others. Went to Eleven Madison Park and went absolutely crazy at their bar and was rewarded with a dozen ridiculous courses ... including non-menu items. Rose champagne and an astonishing Austrian riesling (somm's choice) were on deck. Full details to come tomorrow. It was good. Soooooo good.
