I love the comfort and traction of the oiled leather soles on my Alden suede chukkas and think the double oiled sole would be preferable on such a casual suede longwing. I've only briefly tried my new pair on, maybe they can be returned...

Does anybody have any pics of an Indy boot in black Cordovan that is well worn and/or actually on some body...any real world pics of how the black Indy boot ages??
Believe it or not I have scanned most of this thread but all the pics of black shell seem to be of brand new or almost never worn boots in someone's closet...

For color reference, l to r: whiskey, ravello, walnut calf, cigar, and C&J for Polo brown.
The Cognac is really close to the walnut color.
