List updated!!
Thanks guys. Names added to the list, more info would be nice.
Ron said that his boots (for Ron Rider Boot Co) are made by Calzaturificio Cortina. A quick google search shows a defunct website. A couple of links show that Calzaturificio Cortina seems to be owned by Corti Mario which has its website at http://www.courtley.it So I am not sure if Cortina and Martegani are made by the same people. Ron can provide more useful information. I just put what I have right now.
Nice to know, I don't even know that Santoni LE is that good.
Doucal's not good enough to make the list?
You forgot Bettanin and Venturi and Berluti, both which trump anything the English make IMHO. At least in getting compliments.
Dama Milano make MTO shoes in Italy.
Bespoke Only: http://cobblersweb.style.coocan.jp/b...6/g.marini.htm G Marini Via Francesco Crespi, 97 00187 Roma Gorgeous shoes. Never seen them in the "flesh"

Aren't Martegani and Cortina made by the same folks? I think they do work for a variety of labels. This is a tough task indeed. And I bet such a list would change quite often.
