Which is your #1 tie (or ties) that people always compliment?

$129 well worth it though. It's not how many ties you've got...but the quality of the ones you have!

Luckily for me, a lot of work is open collar so I get away with having a moderate collection...

Trying to justify to myself the exact same style but in navy at the moment...

the only tie i ever paid over 100 bux for was a Duchamp tie at the woodland hills nordstrom. It was the most beautiful work of art i have ever seen on a tie. i bought it and kept it for 2 weeks before i later just returned it (unused and bnwt of course).

Not really, I think a lot of people think it's genuinely a vintage tie.

As I said though, doesn't look right in a formal setting whatsoever but i've got plenty of the posh ties and this is just something that is a bit different without having to resort to god awful knitted ties and such forth.

I am a tall fellow too (6ft 8') so the fact that you can ask for the longer tie too does have its merits!

With a little bit of Googling, it's not hard for a golddigger to figure out cute little icons means overpriced $100 Feragamo/Hermes tie. Do you think this is why they like it? (As opposed to actually knowing about men's fashion that is "stealthy" expensive without logos? (fully canvassed suits, shell cordovan, cashmere, etc)

Well it's only my opinion really, it depends how your work is about formality. Mine is really quite strict but we have a 'relaxed dress' code on fridays...which basically means you get to put the suit away for one day and get away with shirt and trousers...so for a semi-formal occasion such as that or dates...yup...perfect. I've worn it to less formal wedding receptions etc...

yep thats the one...but why don't you buy one first and then see if you like it first...?? The style doesn't suit everyone I can imagine as it's not particularly padded, you won't get a large knot and it's a little thinner (7cm) Although on the other hand if you buy it, don't like it then I can always harrass you to take it off your hands for a little discount...

I like that it's a bit narrow (2.8 in)
I like it's casual.
I don't care about knot size.

This Drake's was a great find, as it's so different than 99% of ties.
And as we know, fashion is about distinguishing yourself from the herd.

Why both? The shipping is $23.
Might as well do both at once.
