I've recently gotten a haircut. A 0 fade on the sides and a trim on the top enough to spike/faux hawk it.

But a few of the ppl i know say it looks too "military".

Just wondering if theres any other way to get the similar effect of this haircut i got but not..looking like i just got back from the marines! haha.

heres a pic of me

I don't think it looks like a military cut. If you wanted one, then I'd lose the sideburns and leave a lot less on top.

However, for what you're looking for, why not go 'softer' on the sides? Instead of a 0A ( 1.8 mm on a Wahl)... try for a "1" (2.0 mm) or "1A" (2.8 mm) on the sides and ask for a more gradual fade/taper?

Your haircut definitely doesn't look like a military haircut; way too much hair on top for that. A more gradual fade would suit a faux hawk style much better.

Personally I think it would look better if the top was a bit shorter and the sides at least two weeks longer. But it's not as drastic as I was expecting.

It reminds me of Eason's hairstyle a year ago.

That's far from a high and tight.

Just go to any good salon and tell them to give you the "Eason", they'll know what to do.

Still looks good though, you seem to have the right type of hair for that cut.

Yeah, it's generally a douchebag type style. Go shorter on top and go with a more gradual fade, and don't spike it. Next time you go in, ask for an ivy league cut.
