These boots look great, especially at the price you paid!

^^ Commendable photographic technique:
  • Background: You use a simple background that does not distract from the boots (i.e., someone's oriental rug)

  • Distance: You close in right on the principal subject the boot. We get in close to see what we came for. That last shot of the leather surface and speed lace, did you need a macro lens or extender tubes for that?

  • Angle: The point of vew is mostly horizontal or close to it. Not looking down at the shoe like the viewer is wearing them on his own feet This zooms us in too.

  • Lighting: Soft and even. No harsh shadows or highlights.

Please, start a new thread on the technique you used, what equipment you used, and how you used it.

Alden NST on the Aberdeen last & LWB on the Barrie. Both in Whiskey Shell. The NSTs are about four months old. The LWBs are brand new. Socks are Brooks Brothers in Egyptian cotton and nylon. Trousers are Polo Ralph Lauren in khaki cotton twill.

Those look terrific. I love this time of year when I can pull out my whiskey shells. Great color.
