I wasn't blown away by the handwired ac15 - the handwired ac30 seemed leagues better when I tried it recently.

On another note, I tried a few new amps recently, namely the Fender Bassman and tweed Twin, and the JTM45 as suggested. I think I could live with the Bassman most, so that may be my next amp, though I really, really would like to try a Vibro King first.

should have made it clearer...it wasnt a factory handwired one, it was a modded ac15 that he point wired and replaced the tubes and speakers.

Is the Klon worth the cash? Not that I'll be buying one in the future, but I'm still curious.

@Rusty - Nothing better sounding than a Matchless amp. Single coil pickups sound especially great.

@kgmessier - Great equipment and great organizing skills. Everything looks so neat and in order. How does the THD Hotplate sound? Do you use it a lot?

Well, like anything else, it depends on how well it gets you to your sound. For me, it's worth the cash. I've never used another overdrive quite like it. That said, I have a TS-808 as well, and while it cost hundreds less, it gets me tones I can't get with the Klon. Between the Klon, TS-808, Keeley boost and King of Tone, I've got all my boost and overdrive bases covered.

I run my AC30 full tilt, so the blue Hot Plate is a must-have. Without it, I'd be on a first-name basis with every cop in the county. Of course, the more you choke the amp with the Hot Plate, the more tonal loss you get. It's most noticeable after -8dB. - Keith

Garbriel Voxer head

How do you like your Gabriel? I've had mine for about a year and I love. Do you have the Voxer 18 or 33?

Caught me..

I've been big into blues since I first started playing when I was 8. I like his take on blues/rock/r&b.

I'm not a huge fan of his super poppy stuff, but I still think he's an awesome writer either way.

I have owned so many guitars and amps that I can't even remember half of them. It is a great hobby.
