Lands End isn't terrible and they fit slim, yet not skinny.

You can probably get some BB Extra-Slim fit ~$50 on a good sale. Rugby has a good reputation, but I have yet to try them out. JCrew's outlet stores have OCBDs for cheap. They may not be as good as actual JCrew, but they're not terrible either.

I would advise to stay away from Brooks Brothers though if you have a slimmer body shape...their shirts tend to be rather large around the midsection.

If you buy 3 for $200 from Brooks Bros and then find a discount, you won't be too far off, and they're pretty good quality (and can be had in like four different fits). I think H&M has some for $19 too.

Polo custom fit? Picked up one at Bloomingdales for $39. See them routinely at places like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc. for ~$29. Yes, the custom fit and in basic colors!

Thanks I was just thinking about buying some Uniqlo by phone. So you feel the Rugby ones are better?

Rugby is slimmer than Uniqlo? I never had Uniqlo but I do have several Rugby shirts and it isn't very slim. It's slim by regular mall brand shirts but not super slim and I though Uniqlo was on BoO-eque slim.

Uniqlo changed their oxford cloth this year. The new fabric is thinner and rougher. Most people don't like it, especially compared to the old shirts. The cut seems the same. I wouldn't exactly call it slim though.

Uniqlo is closer to Gap than it is to H&M. and the shoulder size on everything is super tiny. Their shirts have a reverse taper on them that resembles a capital A.

Wow, I'm even more surprised that Uniqlo isn't as slim as H&M.

This is true for all BB shirt fits except the Extra Slim Fit. I am wearing one right now and the fit is legit. For the record, I weigh all of 120 lbs and wear 14.5 / 32. Besides, BB shirts cost more than $40 even when you buy three for $199 plus an additional 25% off...factor in shipping and tax and it comes out to ~$60 per shirt. I would personally go with H&M, their oxfords fit slim and are only ~$20. I have one that i wear under sweaters and it has held up well.

Lands End or BB via ebay (armyhardhat)

Ignore the "not slim enough" people, they're missing the point.

I'd avoid anything with SML sizing.
