A5 2.0 is definitely for girls. It's as gay as a 328 coupe.

In the 50k range, the only SUV I'd get is the Lexus GX.

Beat me to it. Very practical, drives OK, not girly and will last forever.

I say skip it and keep driving what you're driving. If you have ask strangers on a forum on what car you should be spending $50K on....well, you're just not ready yet.

The HP is definitely weak but the engine is very smooth and gives nice torque at low RPMs. So yes, you are an idiot still.

Check out the Lincoln MKS with Ecoboost. It is available with a sophisticated AWD and can do 0 to 60 in about five seconds flat. It (like most Lincolns) is also a great freeway cruiser, is very safe in collisions, and is reasonably fuel efficient (over 25 mpg on the highway).

So would you rather drive a 335i or the faster, more powerful G37? I think most people would say the 335i, in large part due to the fact that the engine is just so damn controlled, while the G37 is much less refined. The A5 isn't pretending to be anything it's not. I don't think it's fooling anyone with its 6.5 0-60 time, but it drives very well and has killer looks. I test drove it and frankly was unimpressed with its power -- I ended up going with an S4 -- but it's certainly no girls car.

you're nuts. I'd take an A5 in a second. That car's looks are so meannnn, the drive is nice, and interior is top notch.

yah. We have an MKS. A nice, smooth drive and has balls. It's really luxurious and has a lot of rear seating space. Black on black with tints is a really good look on this car. The whole sync thing is cool too because I, somene who hates radio, can play my music from my phone through the car's speakers. We still have the satallite radio option tho lol.

Wrong. 2010 GTI uses the older design 2.0T engine which makes 200HP and 207lbs. The Audi A4/A5 uses a new 2.0T mill with variable valve timing making 211HP and 258lbs of torque which is available at just 1500rpm. That's more torque than Audi's 3.2 V6 can muster. The A5 2.0T also weights 3650lbs not 4000. The 0-60 time is around 6.2 seconds. Not sports car quick but not sluggish either.

The 335i is actually faster according to Motor Trend: 0-60 5.1 seconds, 13.7 quarter mile @104mph vs 0-60 5.4 and 14.0 quarter mile at 101.9mph.

Nah, loud and uncomfortable. I second the 335.
